PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST

In this week's blast:

A LITTLE KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY

During this period of COVID, Pickleball has seen a major increase in the number of players taking up the sport. Those of us that play at the Monument Valley Park Facility, as well as other venues around the city, are definitely seeing the increase. This serves to validate that Pickleball is the “fastest growing sport” in the country. As the weather warms here in Colorado it is expected that all places to play will be extremely busy. There will be seasoned players, newbies, first timers, the curious, all coming out to play and enjoy our beautiful Colorado weather and facilities.

As the courts get more and more crowded, let us please take the time to spread some “JOY” and be welcoming to all who come through the gates to play. If you see a new face, or group, just take the time to welcome them. Acclimate them to what the rules are, especially for Paddling up and how they can get a court or into a game. Please just show them the courtesy that we all would expect if we walked into the chaos that can occur on a busy weekend morning. Someone you think is not following the rules, can just be new and not know them. The majority of the time, all it takes is a kind face asking, “How Can I Help?”
